If you live near Blackstone MA, there is a very popular path which you have almost definitely driven past before. It has several beautiful nature lookouts, where you can see river fowl swimming on the lake. It is common to see swans, cranes, and, ducks swimming on the calmer sections of water.

The path provides easy walking access to many parts of the region, connecting towns and parks on a single path. There are benches at resting stops to enjoy a break on the path, and even a convenience store right along the path. There is even a bike repair station with bike pump and tools attached incase your bike has an issue and requires a quick patch to make it back.

The path runs through the town of Blackstone, raised above the street on bridges which allow for a combination of nature walking and convenience. the entire path is paved and well maintained. The accessibility of the path leads to decent traffic along the path during weekends, with cyclists, runners, and joggers making the path part of their daily routine.

There are many historical sites along the path as well. For instance the Millville lock has a more secluded path dedicated to it. There is a bike rack to keep cyclists bikes secure as they venture on foot down the narrower forest path to the rivers edge. There is a small wooden bridge giving access to the other side of a small but steady flowing stream feeding into the Blackstone river. Across the bridge is the remains of the Millville lock, a system which provided boat access through the river.
The greenway is one of the nicer walks for people who want to see nature but still don’t want to deal with the uneven ground that comes with dirt paths. If you are looking for a nice jogging path, a place to ride your bike, or just looking for a way to walk and see some scenic views, consider the Blackstone Greenway.
